I'm a delightful home with some character built post war, situated near the end of a no-exit street. I sit to the rear of an elevated section (on 339m2 of land) with plenty of off street parking which is quite rare in my street. I am owned by an elderly gentleman and have been rented out for many years, always full of happy tenants glad they can get a taxi back from Ponsonby or Eden Park, Kingsland, Queen Street or K Road, after a night out for around $10! I was built towards the rear of my section, leaving all my garden off to the northern and western sides. My gardens are basically a blank canvas and they could be so pretty with all the wonderful sunshine that pours onto my land, and I know some wonderful outdoor living spaces would make a big difference. I am tired inside but I know there is potential to make me into something really special and I do have outdoor flow to a verandah on the Northern side. A few years ago I received a facelift with a new roof and newly painted exterior, but I am ready for my next owners to come and take a look at what I could be like with some TLC. There is potential to possibly develop my lower level, and some of me might benefit from being rearranged. My street is full of character homes and the Kingsland Shops are very close by. Have you been there lately? I hear it is a vibrant funky place to go for a good meal and a drink, or to do some gift shopping, or even just to catch the train through to the city and outer suburbs of Auckland. It doesn't take long to get to the top of Ponsonby Road from here either, in fact many of my tenants usually walked to both Ponsonby or Kingsland from me as it is not that far and there is a public access way that runs along the side of the motorway which provides for a great shortcut! I often see people jogging along that path, or walking their dogs, and there is a big sports field just 2 streets along where kids can kick around a ball. My property is almost fully fenced for dogs too, just put in a gate across the driveway, and hey presto, any family pooch would be safe! So, if you are looking for a project and can't usually afford to buy in the area, then you need to take a look at me, because I am sure to surprise you and you will like what you see. And in the meantime if you want to just live in me and slowly take your time with making me beautiful, then that's OK as well because everything is in good working order!
