Scotts Landing is the gateway to the Mahurangi Harbour. Located on the beach front the original Scott family homestead is usually a peaceful haven with a gently sloping sheltered beach well suited for young children. 100 year old trees provide shade and the only vehicles are boats, but once a year it hosts the Mahurangi Cruising Club annual regatta prize giving and BBQ. This is reputed to be the largest one day sailing regatta in the world with over 1000 entries each year.
There is a road to Scotts Landing which provides access to a boat ramp, public toilets, Rubbish skips and the local mussel farms.
